ITX Motherboard Layout

The ITX layout is the reference configuration for the Meshroom S V2, designed around a Mini-ITX motherboard (170 × 170 mm) with full GPU compatibility and flexible front and rear mounting options.

GPU Fitment

The Meshroom S V2 supports front, rear, and SFF GPU mounting. Maximum GPU length and thickness depend on tray position and whether additional feet are installed.

Front GPU ITX · Front 3-slot / 4-slot Feet: optional
Tray mode Without additional feet With additional feet
3-slot (tray position) 314 × 120 × 61 mm 335 × 120 × 61 mm
4-slot (tray position) 314 × 120 × 76 mm 335 × 120 × 76 mm
Rear GPU ITX · Rear 3-slot / 4-slot 90° DP/HDMI
Tray mode Without additional feet With additional feet
3-slot (tray position) 332 × 153 × 63 mm 353 × 153 × 61 mm
4-slot (tray position) 332 × 153 × 82 mm 353 × 153 × 82 mm

SFF GPU Reference 239 × 160 × 63 mm
GPU type Reference size
SFF GPU 239 × 160 × 63 mm

Note: Use 90° DP/HDMI connectors when GPU I/O clearance to the bottom frame is tight.

PCIe Riser Cable Length ITX Layout Front / Rear / SFF
GPU position Supported riser cable length
Front GPU 145 mm or 200 mm
Rear GPU 145 mm or 200 mm
SFF GPU 200 mm or 220–270 mm

Cable length selection depends on routing preference and GPU position. Excessively long cables may impact cable management and airflow.

Cooling

Air Cooling (CPU Cooler Height) ITX Layout 3-slot / 4-slot
GPU tray mode Maximum CPU cooler height
3-slot mode 74 mm
4-slot mode 54 mm

CPU cooler clearance is affected by GPU tray position. Verify cooler height including fan and top cover.

AIO Liquid Cooling 240 / 280 Front / Rear
Mounting position Supported radiator size Dimensional limits Notes
Front 240 mm / 280 mm Max total thickness (radiator + fan): 63 mm
Max radiator width: 144 mm
Fully supported
Rear 240 mm / 280 mm Max total thickness (radiator + fan): 63 mm
Max radiator width: 144 mm
Depends on GPU width

The maximum thickness of 63 mm refers to the combined thickness of the radiator and fan assembly.

Mounting the fan facing outward increases the total radiator assembly width to a maximum of 154 mm.

Rear AIO compatibility depends on GPU thickness and tubing clearance. Clearance verification is required before installation.

PSU & Storage

Power Supply (PSU) SFX / ATX AIO Clearance
PSU type Supported configuration
SFX or ATX (≤ 150 mm) Supports 55 mm thickness downward-tubing AIO assembly.
Radiator must be oriented facing outward.
ATX (160 mm width) Supports 55 mm thickness upward-tubing AIO assembly.
ATX (170 mm width) Fan assembly supported.

PSU dimensions and tubing direction directly affect AIO compatibility. Verify total assembly thickness before installation.

Storage (Drive Support) 3.5" HDD 2.5" SSD
Drive type Maximum supported Mounting locations
3.5" HDD Up to 4 drives Rear (behind PSU): 2
Front of motherboard tray: 2
2.5" SSD Up to 8 drives Top: 2
Bottom: 2
Rear (behind PSU): 4

The quantities listed above represent all available mounting locations within the ITX layout.

Actual usable drive count depends on whether GPU, PSU, or AIO components occupy shared mounting space.

The diagrams below illustrate GPU length limits for different mounting positions in the ITX layout.

ATX Motherboard Layout

Meshroom S V2 ATX motherboard compatibility depends primarily on GPU mounting position. The following tables define verified component limits for each supported GPU layout.

Meshroom S V2 | ATX Motherboard Front GPU Layout – Component Compatibility

Component Supported Specification Notes / Constraints
GPU Position Front-mounted GPU (Recommended) This is the primary and recommended GPU layout for ATX motherboards
Riser Cable 270–320 mm Longer cables may complicate routing and airflow
GPU (3-slot mode) Up to 335 × 120 × 61 mm GPU width is a critical factor; minor width overages may require an expansion bracket
GPU (4-slot mode) Up to 334 × 120 × 76 mm GPU thickness directly impacts airflow and cable clearance
Additional GPU Notes GPUs longer than 332 mm require additional aluminum feet for bottom clearance
CPU Cooler • 3-slot: up to 74 mm
• 4-slot: up to 54 mm
Clearance changes with GPU slot configuration
PSU SFX only SFX PSU is mandatory for front GPU layout in ATX configuration
AIO Cooling 240 mm AIO only Maximum radiator + fan thickness: 53 mm

Meshroom S V2 | ATX Motherboard Rear GPU Layout – Component Compatibility

Component Supported Specification Notes / Constraints
GPU Position Rear-mounted GPU Requires careful cooling and airflow planning
Riser Cable 385–440 mm Long riser cables require controlled routing to avoid signal degradation
GPU (3-slot mode) Up to 353 × 153 × 63 mm GPU height and airflow clearance are critical
GPU (4-slot mode) Up to 353 × 153 × 82 mm 4-slot GPUs require additional airflow planning
Additional GPU Notes GPUs longer than 332 mm require aluminum feet to raise chassis clearance
CPU Cooler • 3-slot: up to 74 mm
